How SkillBuildup Current Affairs handles your data

SkillBuildup Current Affairs does not require an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no name, email address, or phone number needed to use the app. We don't run analytics or crash-reporting tools of any kind, and we don't show ads.

Because there's no account, almost nothing about you personally passes through our systems. What does is limited to:

• The news feed, cached locally. Twice a day the app fetches the latest digest from our server and stores a copy on your device, so it reads instantly and still works offline between refreshes. This cached copy never leaves your device.
• A local reading reminder. If you enable the daily reminder, it's scheduled entirely on your device using your phone's own notification system — no device token or identifier is registered with any server.
• Ordinary connection data. Fetching the feed is a standard network request, which — like any request to any server — generates routine technical logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp, app version) on our server infrastructure. We use these only to operate and troubleshoot the service, not to build a profile of you.

Connection logs are used only to deliver the feed and diagnose problems. We don't use anything described above to advertise to you, and we don't build cross-app or cross-device profiles — we have no persistent identifier tying your activity together in the first place.

• NewsData.io. The upstream news aggregation service our server queries to build each digest. We don't send NewsData.io any information about you or your device — only category requests our server makes on a fixed schedule.
• Cloudflare. Runs the server (a Cloudflare Worker) that fetches, caches, and delivers the feed to the app.

We don't work with ad networks or data brokers, and we don't sell access to any of the information above.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers named in §4, and except where required by law.

The cached feed and any reminder setting live on your device and are deleted the moment you uninstall the app. Server-side connection logs are retained only as long as needed for operating and securing the service.

SkillBuildup Current Affairs is built for civil-services exam aspirants and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app requires no account, no name, and no email at any point, none is knowingly collected from anyone, of any age.

Every article in the app is a short summary with a link to its original publisher, sourced via NewsData.io. We don't claim authorship of any linked article, and the original source is named on every entry in the feed. Tapping an article opens the publisher's own page in your browser.

• Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data and reminder settings immediately.
• The daily reminder can be turned off at any time from the app or your device's notification settings.

If this notice changes, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's store listing.
